Health Is Wealth

For many decades now, great health has been, and remains a priority in my life. I often discuss with family and friends, that without great health, it’s much more challenging to enjoy all of the things we want to do and experience in life. It’s not impossible to enjoy life without great health. It’s just more challenging to have suboptimal health and enjoy life to the fullest, since this often requires a unique sense of rigour. Personally, I love ease and flow.

Our family discussions often include comments like, “all the money in the world is not as important as having wonderful, vibrant, fantastic health”.

Great health is supported by many things. Great health is eating a nutrient dense diet. Great health is a body that has comfort and ease in movement in order to be able to exercise regularly. Great health is having rejuvenating sleep and time to rest. Great health is consuming plentiful, healthy, clean water to drink. Great health is connecting with family, friends, and community with love and fun. Great health is having a healthy mind and balanced emotions, and the skills and tools to manage the challenges in life that come our way. Great health is all of this and so much more.

I have been practising naturopathic medicine for over 30 years now. I am grateful I left my nursing career to learn a system of medicine that has undoubtably contributed to my great health, both physically and mentally. There are many roads to great health. Naturopathic medicine happens to one road to great health and it happens to be my road. I am blessed to have also witnessed my family, friends and patients, who over the years, have experienced the quality of their lives improve with the use of naturopathic medicine.

I have started this blog to discuss helpful measures that can contribute to great health. They are my own perspectives and they include both personal and clinical experiences.

Just like I believe in me and my potential to heal, I believe in you, and your potential to heal. And as I sincerely write on the footnote of every page of this website, for all of you, I wish great health.
